How does the van pallet calculator work?

Enter your van's usable interior length, width and height. Add custom pallets or choose Euro, industrial or half-pallet presets. Load Buddy calculates a floor layout automatically; use Try another layout to compare arrangements.

The calculation uses one floor level. You can enter door dimensions and the narrowest passage to flag access problems, then save or share the plan. Check weight limits, load securing and stacking separately.

How many pallets fit in a van?

It depends on the usable floor dimensions, pallet sizes and whether they can be rotated. The Euro preset is 120 × 80 cm, the industrial preset is 120 × 100 cm, and the half-pallet preset is 80 × 60 cm. Enter your van's actual measurements to see a possible arrangement rather than relying on floor area alone.

What should I measure?

Measure the usable interior floor length and the narrowest width where pallets must fit, including between wheel arches. Check the door opening too. If the pallet carries cargo, select a custom size and enter the total loaded height, not just the height of an empty pallet.

Is the layout a loading guarantee?

No. The planner shows a one-level floor arrangement, and alternative layouts may fit differently. Optional access measurements flag possible obstacles but do not draw wheel arches or model the loading path. It does not check vehicle payload, axle loads, securing points or whether stacking is safe. Confirm those details before loading.

Can two Euro pallets fit side by side?

Two standard 120 × 80 cm Euro pallets placed side by side need at least 160 cm of usable floor width and 120 cm of length. Measure the narrowest usable width and the door opening: a floor layout alone cannot confirm that both loaded pallets can pass through the door. How do I save a pallet loading plan as a PDF?
